As one half of an interracial couple myself, I always love shooting another interracial love story! From the moment I met online with Lily, I knew immediately in my heart that this town hall ceremony was going to be intimate and charming in its own personal way. Lily expressed that she didn’t want anything too big and fancy, since none of her friends and families could make it to the ceremony, but she is still grateful that Brian and his part of the family are doing their best to make her feel at home.
Their wedding registration takes place at Berlin Reinickendorf Standesamt, which was built in 1911 with Dutch baroque facade and a 55-meter-high tower, the couple mentioned there are 2 wedding rooms, the small room, which was what they ended up getting married, is in my opinion much more sunlit and well-decorated with its wood-paneled walls, vintage-patterned wallpaper, and the stained glass coats of arms recessed in the windows.
Lily choose an elegant, well-fit traditional Chinese Qipao in cyan color, holding a bouquet of white tulip flowers made by Brian’s mom, the whole look speaks to me dearly. And Brian looks sharp in his black formal suit. They didn’t feel anxious or stressed before and during the ceremony, instead, they were calm the whole time, as if they knew this day was going to come and all they needed to do was to be there with each other.
