Quincy & Maddie’s Sweet Surprise Proposal Shooting at Körnerpark, Neukölln
Location: Körnerpark, Neukölln, Berlin
Date: April 18th, 2025
Bouquet: Florist Peony
I had always dreamed of shooting a proposal at Körnerpark for its Neo-baroaque banisters and multi-floored landscape design, which is a notable part of Körnerpark, adding a touch of artistry and ornate characters. When I was scouting the location just a week before the proposal shooting, I was glad to find out Spring is in full bloom at the park: There was a beautiful magnolia tree at the north-east entrance to the park, facing a running fountain, all the trees and flowers were already full of life, the vines on the surface of the walls were still a bit empty but you could already see a bit of green sprouts sneaking out and the rest of the nature had prepared itself as a photogenic Spring location!
Quincy is such a sweet gentleman who just wanted the best for his girlfriend Maddie, we talked about details on the phone and I walked him through the whole process first-thing on the video call so that he was mentally prepared for what’s coming. We were there at 10:30am on a Friday, the weather was sunny but a bit chilly, so luckily there weren’t too many people at the park, even the gallery Galerie im Körnerpark and the café Orangerie Neukölln just opened its door, which perfectly created a private, peaceful environment for the surprise proposal. I would always recommend scouting the location beforehand so that you know what it is like during a day, and what challenges there might be during the shooting session.
In the end, Maddie said YES! Which was all that matters. After the successful proposal, We celebrated with some more beautiful engagement photos around Körnerpark together with the happy couple.
